Hivron has been in Rachel's family for over 200 years.  It was used as an extension to the family's Welsh Mountain Pony stud, at the adjacent farm just across the valley.  The stud no longer exists, but the tradition and passion for horses has been carried on through Rachel and her family.

Having started riding at 4 years old, Pony club at 8 years old, broke her first pony when she was 14 years old (a 3 yr old colt her father swapped 10 sheep for and was aptly named Bartie!)  Rachel was rapidly learning the art of communicating with her equine friends and loving it!

After breaking in local horses, bringing on youngsters and competing, at 22 years old Rachel took up an opportunity to spend 9 months in Tuscany, Italy where she was responsible for breaking in Maremana stallions and mares to produce them for a show jumping career.  A great experience, great fun and great for the tan!

On returning home, Rachel took up the position of running a family eventing yard comprising of up to 15 horses, which she did for 7 years, before getting married in 2000 to Andy.  Andy works independantly from HHH but plays an important part in the general land and building maintenance.  Rachel and Andy Holman now own the property.
